Finding local produce – Here are some websites I have found that have connected me with local farmers, farmer’s markets, co-op grocery stores, csa’s and upick farms (where you can forge for your own food at insanely low prices.)
- Local Harvest – Find local farms, co-ops, csa’s, local artisans of bread, cheese, milk and eggs too! And much much more!!
- USDA Local Farmer’s Market Search – Here’s another great resource to find local farmers markets in your area to purchase and actually meet the folks that grow your food!
- U-PickYourown – this is another excellent resource that will help you find farms in your local area where you can buy organically or conventionally grown produce for a very very low price!! This is a great way to spend quality time with your family and teaching them where their food comes from.
Online food buying clubs and co-ops:
