About

Welcome to my blog! In this space I will be showing you how our family uses mostly locally produced ingredients in season to create delicious and healthy meals on a budget of 600 a month for a family of four. I will be putting into practice some meal planning skills, basic budgeting and imaginative recipes mostly made from scratch ingredients to create recipes that will not only delight your taste buds but also your other four senses of touch, visual temptation and smell. Food is made for more then just substance to help us survive it is a living breathing organism of our daily lives. In addition I will share with you local as well as nattional resources where you can not only buy organic ingredients and staples but also how to show you to stay on a budget and STILL eat organic foods.

With gas prices sky rocketing to an all time high we are all feeling the pinch at the grocery store and at the pump on daily basis. Inflation is increasing the cost of basic staples that most cannot do with out like eggs, flour and milk.

I hope to inspire you that eating whole, local organic, seasonal foods is one of the best investments in your health and well being as well as it is for your pocketbook.
